The team at Lullabot has recently announced work on their latest project, Buzzr. It will be a polished administrative interface for the Drupal CMS. As of right now, it appears that this will be a somewhat proprietary system, but I hope that it can be incorporated into the Drupal 7 User Experience work that Mark Boulton has been working on.
